Russian Speaking House Manager

This is a new role running the London property of a famiy that have recently moved to London. Reporting directly to the Principals, you will be responsible for all household operations and the mangement of a large team of staff, ensuring that the family’s home is operating flawlessly, with 5-star service levels being delivered. This is a leadership role and as well as having full authority and responsibility, the House Manager will be fully accountable for the running of the property and the performance of the team.
Hours: 8am-6pm / 9am-7pm, Tuesday to Saturday
Location: Central London (live-out)
Salary: Dependent upon experience
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Human Resources management:
- Recruitment of staff
- High-level training to ensure that the whole team are working to the standards that the family require
- Full-time staff includes: Drivers, Security Team, Chef, Housekeepers, PA, Nannies, Tutors and a Gardener
- Assisting with payroll, managing holiday leave, negotiating salary reviews and annual bonuses
- Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are met
- Control of household budget, overseeing purchases, sourcing effectively and reporting to Principals
- Regularly reviewing utility providers, insurance policies etc
- Ensuring that all technical elements of the property are operating effectively and efficiently and are maintained / serviced regularly – everything from central heating, electrics and air conditioning etc, down to appliances such as towel dryers and hair dryers etc
- Managing all IT and A/V issues
- Engaging and overseeing external maintenance contractors
- Project management – ensuring budgets and timelines are kept to
- Event management – small private dinners to large parties
Candidates must be / have:
- Fluent Russian and English speakers
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, managing a large property and retinue of household staff
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills to manage, train and motivate all members of the team
- Highly IT literate
- Highly organised and efficient
- A team player – hands-on, happy to ‘roll your sleeves up’ to assist with mundane day-to-day tasks as well as the larger projects
- Self-motivated and initiative to work autonomously
- Able to multi-task and prioritise your workload
- Proactive with a flexible and ‘can-do’ approach
- Proven discretion
